AAUW is a community standing 170,000 strong for gender equity. Your membership makes our powerful voice even louder on critical issues affecting women and girls.

AAUW believes that together we can transform society for the better. Our vision is simple — we bring people together united behind the common goal of breaking through educational and economic barriers for women and girls. By joining our nearly 170,000 members and supporters, 1,000 branches, and more than 800 college and university partner members, you become part of AAUW’s powerful voice.

If you hold an associate’s or equivalent, bachelor’s, or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university, you can join AAUW as an individual (member-at-large) or as a member of a branch. Branch members also belong to the national organization.
