Southwest District Meeting: October 26, 2019
Fairway Barbecue and Grill, Newport News Golf Club at Deer Run
The meeting begins at 10:30 AM and concludes with lunch. The Box Lunch is $13.
Our speaker is Dr. Linda Ficht, an assistant professor of business law in the Accounting Department of the Luter School of Business at Christopher Newport University. Linda teaches an undergraduate Legal Environment of Business course as well as Conflict Resolution and Negotiations in the Later School of Business. In addition to her teaching, Linda has conducted workshops with various professional groups on salary negotiations, as well as in conflict resolution. Linda has developed a program of her own to encourage women to negotiate salaries that reflect their worth. Linda will address the pay equity issue in her remarks at the District Meeting. Please join us!
An agenda will be coming soon. Please let Barbara know if there is an AAUW topic you wish to be discussed. We should be able to have a great exchange of ideas over lunch.
Thank you to Carolyn Hughes and the Newport News Branch, and Tammie Mullins Rice, for their assistance in planning for this meeting.
